About Silae sensors
- Silae sensors are specifically designed for the production floor realities
- Silae sensors can be installed in minutes
- Once installed, Silae sensors automate existing processes, so you don’t need to invest in expensive training programs
- There are two varieties of Silae sensors
- Silae Lite sensor
- Silae Essentials sensor
Silae Lite sensor
- These sensors are designed to help you easily track material movement across pre-production and production floors
- They can be installed at critical hand-off points in your production process like
- Material ready at cutting floor
- Material issued to line
- Material received at production floor
- Material in WIP
- Material at checking
- Material at inspection
- Together, a set of sensors installed across key points help you track material movement across your departments (see sample screenshot below)

Silae Essentials sensor
- Silae has developed a patent-protected Industrial IOT sensor that works with all makes and models of sewing machines
- The sensor has two parts to it
- A power unit that is installed below the table
- A desk unit that sits on top of the table
- The power unit automatically records operational data when the machine is running and streams it back using WiFi to our backend
- The desk unit allows users to tap RFID cards that are attached to material bundles to record that it’s arrived at the desk
- Details for the step can be added using the Silae Production app
- Silae automatically records operational data against the step and bundle. If the operator has tapped their ID card on the sensor, it also records operator working on the system
- The desk unit also has a push button
- Press to signal manual completion of the operation on an individual piece from the bundle (optional)
- Press and hold for 3 seconds to indicate a short stop (if the operator wants a break). Alternately, Silae registers a short stop if the machine is idle for 3 minutes.
- Press and hold for 5 seconds to indicate a machine breakdown
